Our mission
SkillMark exists to give hiring and engineering teams the deepest possible visibility into how candidates actually use AI to build, debug, and ship software. As AI becomes the way engineers work, the question is no longer whether someone can write code from scratch — it's how well they direct, verify, and collaborate with AI agents.
What SkillMark does
SkillMark is an AI-native technical assessment platform. Candidates complete realistic tasks in a sandboxed workspace with a built-in AI assistant, and every action — prompts, code edits, terminal commands, and a synchronized screen recording — is captured. Hiring teams then review a rich report of how the candidate worked with AI, not just the final answer. It supports both external hiring and internal skills assessment.
Why we're different
No one else shows hiring teams this much about how a candidate uses AI. SkillMark resolves every session into a 4D fluency vector — Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence — alongside prompt archetypes that reveal collaboration style, and a full synchronized replay of code, AI chat, and screen recording. The result is verified evidence of AI fluency, not self-reported claims.
